Prince George turned 13 today, and Kensington Palace released a new photograph to mark the occasion. The picture shows George looking relaxed and smiling, with his hands in his pockets, wearing an open-necked white shirt and dark suit at Kensington Palace. The image was shared on the Prince and Princess of Wales' social media with the message "Happy 13th Birthday, George!" and a party popper emoji.
The photograph was taken by Matt Porteous, the Waleses' go-to photographer for family celebrations, right after Trooping the Colour last month. Royal fans were jubilant over the new picture and took to social media to praise him and say how grown-up he looks.

What's next for George
Future king George is heading to a new school in September, following in his father's footsteps by attending the prestigious Eton College, close to his Windsor home. He was last seen out with his family when he and 11-year-old Princess Charlotte joined William and Kate in the royal box at Wimbledon. George has finished his time at Lambrook School, the private co-ed prep school in Berkshire, where he occasionally boarded, ready for his transition to boys-only Eton, where fees are more than £65,000 a year.
