The Pride of Britain Awards returned for its 26th edition, with some of the biggest names in UK showbiz gathering at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House Hotel in London to honour the nation's most heroic individuals. The event, running since 1999, celebrates people from all walks of life who have done extraordinary things for others. Hosted solely by Carol Vorderman since its inception, Diversity star Ashley Banjo joined her as co-host in 2021. Award winners are chosen by a panel of celebrities, with categories including Outstanding Bravery, Lifetime Achievement and Teenager of Courage.
Stars Shine in Bold Red and Black Ensembles
Good Morning Britain newsreader Susanna Reid stepped out in a figure-hugging strapless red dress with a large cut-out slit up her left leg. The gown featured dark red floral embellishments, paired with silver diamond jewellery and pointed stiletto heels. Susanna also showed off a new hair transformation, having dyed her locks a lighter shade.
Love Island's Olivia Attwood sported a bright red silk number with a black trim around the halter neck. She opted for a sleek updo with face-framing layers. Internet sensation GK Barry, who also appeared on I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, wore a pale pink corset gown with a high-low hemline, adding pale heels and slicking her hair back.
Gothic Glamour and Mermaid Styles
Helen Flanagan went for an all-black ensemble with a large lace cut-out detail on her waist, complemented by black lace gloves extending above her elbow. Carol Vorderman's darker locks matched her black dress for a gothic feel, perfect for October, as she chatted with fans and photographers.
YouTuber Saffron Barker, who competed on Strictly Come Dancing, channelled her inner mermaid with a ruffled bodycon dress and a natural, bronze makeup look. Love Islander Zara McDermott also opted for a vampy look with strappy heels and a large leg slit.
Couples Coordinate on the Carpet
Best pals Sam Thompson and Pete Wicks looked dapper in matching black suits, with Pete opting for a more casual black t-shirt underneath while Sam stuck with a classic white shirt and black tie. JLS singer JB Gill wore a black suit with a bow tie, mirroring his wife Chloe, whose dress featured lace panelling on the top half, a large slit up her left leg and long sleeves.
Love Island couple Alex and Olivia Bowen were all smiles, with Olivia in a bright cream strapless dress and an updo, while Alex wore all black. Newlyweds Molly Smith and Tom Clare mirrored each other in perfectly complementing black outfits, with Molly channelling Hollywood glamour in a structured black dress and evening gloves, and Tom in a black suit with a bow tie.
