Pride Cymru 2026 is heading to Cardiff this weekend for Wales' largest celebration of equality and diversity. The event runs from Friday night to Sunday, kicking off with a special live performance from Mika at Cardiff Castle.

When and Where is Pride Cymru 2026?

The main event takes place from Saturday, June 13, to Sunday, June 14, at Coopers Field and Cardiff Castle. A Depot Live concert at Cardiff Castle on Friday, June 12, is also held in conjunction with Pride Cymru.

Tickets and Pricing

Saturday tickets for those aged 15+ are available online for £22 plus booking fee, while VIP tickets cost £47 plus booking fee. Children under five are free and do not require a ticket. Under-16s must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over but can also enter for free. Sunday tickets are £5 for adults, free for children, and VIP tickets are £30. Tickets for Mika at Cardiff Castle start at £57.20 for general admission or £102 for premium viewing.

Parade Details

The parade starts promptly at 11am on Saturday, June 13, from Westgate Street. The route goes along Castle Street, High Street, Saint Mary Street, Mill Lane, The Hayes, John Street, Park Place, Greyfriars Road, Kingsway, and Duke Street, finishing back on Castle Street. The parade is approximately 1.4 miles long and takes 1.5 to 2 hours to complete.

Road Closures

Castle Street (from Westgate Street to North Road) is closed from 6am to midnight. Cowbridge Road East (from Cathedral Road) is closed from 6am to midnight, accessible for residents, buses, and taxis from 6am to 8am and 2.30pm to midnight. Westgate Street, Quay Street, Guildhall Place, Golate, High Street, and Saint Mary Street are closed from 8am to 2.30pm. Wood Street, Central Square, Park Street, Havelock Street, Scott Road, Saint Mary Street (from Wood Street), Mill Lane, The Hayes, John Street, Queen Street, Park Place, and Greyfriars Road (from Boulevard De Nantes to Kingsway) are closed from 10am to 2pm.

Parking

No parking at Cardiff Castle. Public car parks are available at the Civic Centre, Sophia Gardens, St David's shopping centre, John Lewis, Capitol Shopping Centre, and NCP car parks (Adam Street, Dumfries Place, Greyfriars Road).

Family Friendly and Dogs

Yes, there is a family area with activities, face painting, and creative workshops. Dogs are welcome but may be unsettled by loud noises; they are not allowed in the family area unless required for accessibility.

Food and Banned Items

Non-alcoholic drinks in sealed plastic containers of 500ml or less are allowed. No hot food or large picnic hampers. Banned items include alcohol, sharp objects, glass bottles (including perfume), cans, and barbecues. Bags will be searched upon entry.
