Paloma Faith stunned fans on the red carpet as she debuted a fiery new look, swapping her signature blonde locks for vibrant red hair at British Vogue's Forces For Change event in London. The 42-year-old singer, known for her bleached blonde tresses, appeared almost unrecognisable with the bold colour change.
She paired the new hairdo with a black crepe dress and bronze gloves, opting for a more understated makeup look, ditching her iconic red lipstick for a muted palette. The transformation marks a throwback to her early career days when she sported auburn hair.
The makeover comes 18 months after her split from partner Leyman Lahcine, with whom she shares two children. Speaking candidly about the breakup, Faith said: 'Our relationship ended because we have those children. And I think that was worth it.' She added: 'In some ways, the breakup has left me broken but in other ways, I'm so whole.'
Aside from music, Faith has pursued acting, landing roles in HBO Max's Pennyworth and Starz's Dangerous Liaisons. She recalled filming intimate scenes just months after giving birth, joking that she used humour to get through them. 'We had quite a laugh when we were doing intimacy scenes,' she said.
Faith's upcoming album, The Glorification of Sadness, explores the grieving process after her split, which she described as 'the worst thing that's ever happened to me in my life'. The album tracks the stages of grief, from self-destruction to empowerment.
