Kelsey Parker, the 36-year-old widow of The Wanted star Tom Parker, has revealed that her current pregnancy has brought on what she describes as 'visions' and strange dreams, making her feel closer to her late husband and their lost baby son, Phoenix.
Speaking on her podcast Mum's The Word, Kelsey shared that the experiences have strengthened her sense of connection to those she has lost. 'I think there is a connection, and that's how I do get through life,' she said.
Visions and a 'Third Eye'
Kelsey, who is expecting a child with partner Will Lindsay, explained that the pregnancy has heightened her awareness. 'I keep having... I think it's probably because I'm pregnant and I've got some sort of connection. The weirdest things are happening to me,' she said. 'I'm having visions and feelings, mental things that if I actually said it out loud, you'd be like, 'What on earth are you talking about?' But they're actually happening, but I can't talk about it.'
She added, 'I believe, I've said on this podcast before that I think you're children pick you and there's so much in the universe that we don't even know about. But I think they also make you a bit open, I think they open your third eye to see all this stuff.'
Loss and Hope
Tom Parker died in 2022 at the age of 33 after a battle with an aggressive brain tumour. Kelsey later suffered the devastating loss of their baby boy, Phoenix. She has two other children with Tom: daughter Aurelia and son Bodhi.
Earlier this year, Kelsey announced her pregnancy with Will Lindsay, describing the unborn child as a 'rainbow baby'—a term for a baby born after pregnancy or infant loss. On Instagram, she wrote: 'A year ago next month, we lost our beautiful baby boy, Phoenix. And somehow, through all the heartbreak, it feels like Tom and Phoenix have sent us another little gift from heaven our little rainbow baby.'
Kelsey continues to navigate her grief while embracing the new life ahead, finding comfort in the belief that her loved ones are watching over her.
