Poll shows Brits don't want Meghan Markle solo UK visits
Poll: Brits don't want Meghan Markle solo UK visits

A new poll has delivered a brutal blow to Meghan Markle, showing that royal fans do not want the duchess to make solo trips to the UK.

Earlier this month, Prince Harry came to Britain for a five-day schedule of public engagements, including Invictus Games events and visits to a children's hospital. Meghan Markle, 44, was set to join him on some of these engagements, but this did not go ahead due to security concerns. Instead, she and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, only flew into the UK towards the end of the week for private family time.

Poll results

The Daily Express launched a poll asking readers whether Meghan Markle should make solo visits in the UK. The poll ran from 10am on July 21 until 11am on July 22.

The results were a brutal blow to Meghan, with 3557 people voting “no” - meaning they don’t think Meghan should make solo visits to the UK. Only 51 people answered “yes”, while 16 said they don’t know.

Future trips

It is not known when Harry and Meghan plan to return to the UK, but it is believed they want to make more trips across the pond as a family of four following their July visit.
