Pixie Geldof Shares Smiles in London Ahead of Peaches' Death Anniversary

Pixie Geldof was all smiles as she enjoyed a lunch with close friends in Primrose Hill, London, on Friday, marking the start of the Easter weekend. The 35-year-old model chose the upscale Lemonia restaurant for a lavish meal, basking in the bank holiday sunshine while dressed in a chic black leather jacket and dark-rimmed sunglasses.

A Family Marked by Tragedy

This outing comes just days before the 12th anniversary of the death of her late sister, Peaches Geldof, who tragically passed away at age 25 on April 7, 2014, from a heroin overdose. This mirrored the fate of their mother, Paula Yates, who died in 2000 from a similar overdose at age 41. Paula and Sir Bob Geldof had three daughters together—Fifi, Pixie, and Peaches—before divorcing in 1996.

Following Paula's death, Bob Geldof later married actress Jeanne Marine in 2015, and she has played a crucial role in helping raise his children. Despite enduring very public losses, the family has strived to lead normal lives away from the spotlight, focusing on their respective husbands and children.

Bob Geldof's Role in Raising the Family

After Peaches' death, Bob Geldof, the Boomtown Rats star, also adopted Paula's daughter Tiger Lily, whom she shared with the late Michael Hutchence. He became Tiger Lily's legal guardian in 2007, determined to raise her far from the showbusiness world. Bob has credited Jeanne with being instrumental in supporting his daughters through difficult times, even stating that his children wouldn't have survived without her.

In a poignant moment, Bob proposed to Jeanne just days after Peaches' death, a gesture he said brought air into the room when Fifi and Pixie were in agony. Jeanne's influence also helped Tiger Lily, then four years old, navigate that challenging period. According to family friend Gerry Agar, Tiger was totally raised and totally loved by Bob’s wife Jeanne, so she has such stability.

Pixie's Personal and Professional Life

Pixie Geldof has built a successful career in modelling, first gracing the cover of Tatler in 2008. She has also explored the music industry as the lead singer of the band Violet and released her own record, I'm Yours, in November 2016. In her personal life, she married These New Puritans drummer George Barnett in 2017 in a lavish ceremony in Majorca, with notable guests including Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles, and Nick Grimshaw.

The couple shares a daughter, born in August 2021, though they keep her out of the public eye and have never disclosed her name. While Pixie maintains privacy around her family, she and George are often spotted at events together, such as a stylish appearance at Milan Fashion Week in February.

Fifi Geldof's Private Path

Meanwhile, Fifi Geldof, 42, has chosen to avoid the public eye completely, working in PR and referring to herself as the unknown Geldof. She married her husband Andrew Robertson in 2016 at St Mary Magdalene and St Lawrence church in Kent, the same church where her mother and Peaches are buried. In a touching decision, she opted not to have Pixie and Tiger Lily as bridesmaids, feeling it wouldn't be right without Peaches by her side.

As part of one of Britain's most famous families, the Geldofs have navigated both spotlight and sorrow, with Tiger Lily being the last of Bob's children to marry after Pixie and Fifi. Through it all, they continue to support each other, blending public moments with private resilience.
