Pixie Geldof was seen enjoying a lunch outing in London this week, days before the anniversary of her sister Peaches' death. The 31-year-old model and singer was photographed leaving a restaurant in the capital, looking sombre as she marked the difficult period.
Peaches Geldof, who was also a journalist and television presenter, died suddenly in April 2014 at the age of 25 from a heroin overdose. Her death came 14 years after the passing of her mother, Paula Yates, who died from an accidental heroin overdose on Pixie's 10th birthday in 2000.
The Geldof family has faced repeated tragedy. Paula Yates was a famous TV presenter known for her work on 'The Tube' and 'The Big Breakfast', and her high-profile relationships with Bob Geldof and INXS singer Michael Hutchence. She died at 41, leaving behind three daughters: Fifi, Peaches, and Pixie.
Pixie has largely stayed out of the spotlight in recent years, focusing on her music career and family life. She is married to musician George Barnett and they have a young daughter.
The anniversary of Peaches' death has brought renewed attention to the family's history of loss. Pixie's lunch outing comes as she prepares to remember her sister privately.
