Pitbull's Welsh Attempt Leaves Cardiff Crowd in Hysterics

Pitbull Brings the Party to Cardiff

Global superstar Pitbull brought his I'm Back tour to Cardiff on Saturday evening, closing out the Blackweir Live gig series in style. Thousands of fans donned crisp white shirts, black ties, and aviators as they prepared for what the artist promised would be the biggest party in town. Despite drizzly weather, Pitbull transformed Blackweir Fields into a massive nightclub, delivering on his promise to turn Cardiff into Miami.

Attempts at Welsh Language Greeting

Pitbull, known as Mr Worldwide, took time to thank the 35,000-strong crowd and express how "blessed" he felt. He even attempted to address them in Welsh. After opening with Don't Stop The Party, he said: "It's an honour and blessing to be here tonight in Cardiff." He then explained that someone backstage had tried to teach him how to say thank you in Welsh, leading to numerous attempts at saying "diolch" throughout the night.

Pitbull told the crowd: "They told me backstage that to say thank you here in Wales I need to say 'diolch', so diolch very much, I appreciate it. Now, we all know what we came here to do tonight – it's simple – we came here to party!" When the crowd tried to help with his pronunciation, he responded with characteristic flair: "Diolch very f***ing much for being here."

Humorous Exchanges with the Crowd

Later in the evening, Pitbull stopped to make another attempt at saying diolch, adding: "I'm almost there. By the end of the show I'll get this s**t I promise you." At the end of the night, he made one final attempt: "Thank you so much for all the love we highly appreciate it. We're going to get this right." He then asked "Is it..." followed by numerous incorrect pronunciations, with the crowd shouting "no" each time.

Frustrated but good-natured, he said: "I need somebody from over there to teach me how the f**k to say thank you. Alright, we're gonna figure this s**t out. Whatever it is, you know what I'm trying to say. Thank you very f***ing much. We appreciate all of the love." Mr Worldwide then attempted to spell the word, asking if it was "dyuck," before bidding the crowd "buenos noches."
