Piers Morgan has unleashed a blistering attack on Prince Harry, branding him with a two-word insult after the Duke of Sussex’s planned stay at Buckingham Palace fell through. The Uncensored host took to social media to mock Harry after it emerged that the prince had accepted an invitation to stay with his father, King Charles, but replied too late, causing the offer to be withdrawn.
Palace Invitation Rescinded
The BBC reported on Monday that Prince Harry had accepted an invitation to stay at Buckingham Palace during his upcoming visit to London. However, shortly afterward, Buckingham Palace confirmed that Harry would not be staying there, as he had missed the deadline to confirm his arrangements. A spokesperson for Harry initially said the duke had accepted, but the palace clarified that no room could be arranged for this visit, though he would be welcome in future.
Morgan shared both headlines on X, writing: “Life comes at you fast when you’re an entitled pr***.” The post quickly went viral, drawing both support and criticism from followers.
Security Concerns Dismissed
The row comes amid ongoing tensions over Harry’s security arrangements in the UK. The prince has previously stated that he faces credible threats and cannot travel with his wife, Meghan Markle, and their children, Archie and Lilibet, due to safety concerns. Royal editor Chris Ship tweeted that Harry’s family might join him for events outside London, where the threat level is perceived as lower.
Morgan dismissed this argument, replying: “So the supposed terror threat level disappears if they go to Birmingham rather than London? Come on, Chris...”
Earlier, when it was confirmed that Harry would not receive taxpayer-funded police protection, Morgan responded with a single word: “Good.”
Previous Mockery
This is not the first time Morgan has targeted Harry and Meghan. When it was announced that Meghan and the children would not accompany Harry to the UK, Morgan sarcastically wrote: “*Really* excited to hear further updates in this gripping will-they-or-won’t-they drama!” with a yawn emoji.
The ongoing feud between Morgan and the Sussexes has been a recurring theme in royal news, with the former Good Morning Britain presenter frequently criticizing their public statements and media deals.
