The musician, known as Emilio Piano, shared the story on Instagram. He wrote: "I met @onerepublic in a shopping mall. Many people have been asking how I met OneRepublic and ended up releasing our new song 'Need Your Love'. I was playing [the] piano when a girl asked me to play Apologize. What I didn't know was that the actual singer of OneRepublic was standing right behind me."
