The British rocker appeared frail as an assistant helped him into the wheelchair after exiting a vehicle, as he continued his Not Dead Yet Live! tour despite debilitating back pains.
On Sunday, Collins fell backwards in his chair while watching his 18-year-old son Nicolas' drum solo at Charlotte's Spectrum Center. Video footage shows the audience screaming in shock as the veteran musician falls flat on his back, with aides rushing to assist him. The show continued, and Collins is scheduled for further dates in Detroit and Pittsburgh.
Collins has struggled to stand after multiple back surgeries and now performs from a chair. He was seen using a walking stick last week leaving rehearsals in Miami. His tour wraps on October 19 in Las Vegas.
In 2017, Collins cancelled shows after a fall, citing 'drop foot' from a back operation. He reunited with Genesis star Mike Rutherford in Berlin in June 2019.
