Peter Andre has shared a devastating health update about his mother, Thea, revealing that she can no longer speak due to the progression of Parkinson's disease. Thea, who was diagnosed with both Parkinson's and Alzheimer's in 2023, is currently living in Australia with her husband.
The singer posted a video on Instagram of his daughter Arabella, known as Belle, on a FaceTime call with her grandparents. In the caption, he wrote: 'Sadly, now that mum can’t speak anymore. However, Belle has a wonderful daily conversation with her Bapou (Greek for grandfather) and as you can see, they adore each other.'
Peter previously told OK! Magazine that he feared it might be his mother's 'last Christmas'. He said: 'She’s very delicate. Her Parkinson’s has progressed quite a bit. Her speech is almost gone. She’ll say a word or two. It’s heartbreaking, because she’s our world, our pillar of strength.'
He also expressed concern for his 92-year-old father, whose memory is declining, but noted he is grateful his parents celebrated 70 years of marriage in September. Fans flooded the comments with messages of support, calling the disease 'cruel' and urging the family to cherish every moment.
