Peter Andre has broken his silence on his ex-wife Katie Price, releasing a scathing statement after what sources describe as the 'final straw'. The singer, 51, shares children Junior, 20, and Princess, 18, with Price, from whom he split in 2009.
In a lengthy post, Andre accused Price of repeated lies over 16 years, particularly regarding their children's welfare and living arrangements. He revealed that Junior and Princess came into his care in 2018 for safety reasons, with a family court order enforcing the arrangement in 2019. Andre also referenced court cases in 2011 and 2015 where Price was found to have made false claims and ordered to pay damages.
A source told The Sun that Andre 'had' to speak out because the situation had become 'unbearable'. The source claimed Price had been lying about Princess living with her and goading Andre with false statements. Another source added that the drama was affecting the family, particularly Princess, who loves her mother but is caught in the negativity.
Princess, who recently launched her debut solo TV project, addressed the feud on Snapchat, saying: 'It doesn't affect me. At the end of the day, they broke up when I was two years old so I don't even have any memory of them being together.' She added: 'I love my mum and dad and that's all that matters.'
A spokesperson for Katie Price told the Mirror: 'Kate is in a much better and clear headspace and is at peace with the situation... she's dealing with this the right way and it's now in her lawyers hands.' The Mirror has contacted representatives for both parties for further comment.
