Peter Andre has issued a stark warning to his children Junior and Princess about the "dark" reality of the showbiz industry, as the siblings compete on the BBC reality show Celebrity Race Across the World. During a conversation on his podcast, The Andres, which he co-hosts with his wife Emily, Peter revealed his son's heartbreaking response to the candid discussion.
Warning About the Industry's Highs and Lows
On the podcast, Peter and Emily were discussing their nine-year-old son Theo, with Emily revealing he "loves performing." However, Peter made clear he has reservations about his children pursuing careers in showbusiness.
He explained: "The last couple of years, I've set Junior and Princess down separately. And I've said: 'Kids, do you really want to do this?' You've heard me say that."
Peter added: "You've got to be thick-skinned. I want you to go through some of the highs that you experience, but the highs can be so high, and the lows can be very low. Unless you're really built for it. I'm not as thick-skinned as I'd like to be. You learn. I don't know if I'd wish that upon them."
Junior's Heartbreaking Response
Peter, 53, then revealed his son Junior's reaction to the conversation. He said: "Junior said to me. It broke my heart a little bit. 'Are you saying that because you don't believe in my talent, or you don't believe I'm good enough.'"
Peter recounted his reply: "I said: 'Mate, it's the opposite. I know your talent, I know how amazing you are. That's not the point, that makes it even more scary. Do you want to do this or are you doing it because you feel you should, or because people around you are encouraging you.'"
Junior responded: "It's kind of a bit late, I've done it all my life." To which Peter said: "It's never too late."
Princess's Own Reality Show
Princess, 19, and Junior, 21, are currently competing on Celebrity Race Across the World, trying to travel from Malaysia to Australia on a shoestring budget. Their parents, Peter Andre and Katie Price, met on I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! and were one of the biggest couples in British showbiz.
Princess has already featured in her own reality TV programme, The Princess Diaries, which was broadcast on ITV2 in August 2025. The show followed the teenager as she juggled her career and family commitments, documenting her attempts to establish herself as an influencer and model. Two additional four-episode series were broadcast in 2026, with The Princess Diaries attracting mixed reviews.
