Peter Andre Issues Statement as Katie Price Admits She Didn't Want Split
Peter Andre Statement on Katie Price Split Regret

Peter Andre has issued a statement after Katie Price admitted she did not want their marriage to end, as seen in her new documentary series for Sky. The former couple, who were married from 2005 to 2009 and share children Junior and Princess, have had a public feud in recent years but reached a truce in February 2026.

Katie's Documentary Revelations

Katie Price, 48, is the subject of a four-part documentary series titled Katie Price: Nothing to Hide, produced by Louis Theroux’s Mindhouse production company. The series combines unseen footage with first-hand testimony to offer a closer look at one of Britain’s most enduring celebrity figures, who rose to fame as page three girl Jordan in 1996 and met Peter Andre on I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! in 2004.

In the documentary, Katie watches footage of their early romance and says: "If I like someone like I liked him, I go all shy. I can't look at them, and I go all like giddy. It's pathetic, but that's what I was like. You could see we were into each other, and it is so cute to look at." She adds: "By the end of it I was smitten with him. Meeting Pete and being with Pete were the best times of my life, without a doubt," before stating: "I had my prince, I knew I would be with him forever."

Peter's Statement

Peter Andre, 53, does not appear in the documentary but provides a statement that appears at the end of the third episode. The Mysterious Girl singer says: "I have chosen not to speak publicly about these matters out of love and respect for Junior and Princess. Today Katie and I maintain an amicable relationship in the interests of our children. I sincerely wish her happiness and peace for the future."

This follows a joint statement the pair released in February 2026 on Instagram, in which they said: "Katie Price and Peter Andre have decided to close the door on the past and move forward into a new chapter with positivity and respect. We are both focused on creating a calm and supportive environment for our children. We have reached a mutual agreement, both legally and personally, confirming that neither of us will speak negatively about the other going forward. This decision reflects a shared commitment to our family and stability. We want to stand united for our children. We are hoping this is a start of a positive relationship. We ask for understanding and support from both the media and the public as we move ahead."

Background and Impact

The former couple had a public spat last summer, but earlier this year they appeared to reach a truce, vowing not to disparage each other. Katie's documentary series offers a rare glimpse into her personal life and relationships, including her marriage to Peter. The series, Katie Price: Nothing to Hide, is a four-part Sky Original series available on Sky and streaming service NOW from Wednesday, July 8, 2026.
