Pete Wicks has revealed how much he has changed after a romantic holiday with Olivia Attwood, admitting he previously hated vacations but now sees their value. The couple was recently photographed in St Tropez, sharing passionate kisses in a pool and cuddling on sun loungers.
Pete's Holiday Revelation
In a new episode of the Staying Relevant podcast, Pete told co-host Sam Thompson about his trip to the South of France. "It was delightful. Switched off from the world as much as I could," he said when asked about the getaway.
Sam questioned Pete about his public displays of affection, saying: "Why I've never been locked in an embrace with you in a pool? You looked so comfortable and relaxed." Pete dodged the question but elaborated on his newfound appreciation for holidays: "I had a very, very lovely holiday. For me, obviously, I don't go on holiday. This year I'm on holiday, this is holiday mode Pete."
From Hating Holidays to Embracing Relaxation
Pete admitted he previously avoided holidays for 37 years, calling himself "pathetic" for thinking they were a waste of time. "I've now decided that holidays are not a waste of time," he said. "We had lots of plans, we had a whole itinerary. On the down day, got up early, sat by the pool, had a little coffee, I went for a massage."
He described the 90-minute massage as "very awkward" after accidentally exposing himself. Sam reacted with shock: "Shut the f**k up, stop the entire recording."
Olivia's Perspective on Their Romance
Pete, 37, and Olivia, 35, are believed to have started their romance earlier this year after Olivia's split from husband Bradley Dack. On her podcast Olivia's House, Olivia joked that Pete "couldn't find anyone" and "wanted a free meal" during his stints on Celebs Go Dating. Dating coach Anna Williamson referenced his "avoidant attachment style," but Olivia said he is "the complete opposite to what you'd expect."
She added: "He's super laid back. Good sense of humour. Tick."
