Pete Davidson speaks out on mental health amid online bullying

Pete Davidson has shared a personal note on Instagram addressing the impact of online bullying on his mental health. The comedian, who has previously spoken about his diagnosis of borderline personality disorder (BPD), said he has been subjected to harassment online and in public for the past nine months.

In his post, Davidson wrote: 'I've kept my mouth shut. Never mentioned any names, never said a word about anyone or anything. I'm just trying to understand how when something happens to a guy the whole entire world just trashes him without any facts or frame of reference.' He did not specify the comments to which he was referring.

The Saturday Night Live star has faced increased public scrutiny since his brief engagement to singer Ariana Grande. The pair began dating in May, announced their engagement in June, and split in October. Davidson has previously spoken about suicidal thoughts and urged others to seek help for depression.

He wrote in his Instagram post: 'No matter how hard the Internet or anyone tries to make me kill myself. I won't. I'm upset I even have to say this. To all those holding me down and seeing this for what it is – I see you and I love you.' Davidson has deleted his Instagram photos twice in recent months, citing the 'evil' nature of the internet.
