Perrie Edwards, former Little Mix star, has given birth to her second child with footballer Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. The singer announced the arrival on Instagram on Saturday, January 17, sharing a black-and-white photo of her newborn and revealing the unique name: Alanis Valentine.
The couple, who have been together since 2017, are already parents to son Axel, born in 2021. Perrie confirmed her second pregnancy in September last year with a cryptic Instagram post that read 'Guess what hunnies...', followed by a video showing her baby bump with the words 'And He Did' on her T-shirt.
Fellow former Little Mix members congratulated Perrie, with Jade Thirlwall writing 'So happy for you all' and Leigh-Anne Pinnock calling the baby a 'perfect little angel'. Singer Pixie Lott also praised the name as 'beautiful'.
The news comes after Perrie opened up about two miscarriages on Paul C. Brunson's podcast 'We Need to Talk' last year. She described feeling alone during appointments and praised Alex for his calm support, saying he is 'very mature' and 'level-headed'.
Perrie rose to fame on The X Factor in 2011 as part of Little Mix, one of the UK's most successful girl groups. She and Alex became parents for the first time in 2021.
