Peaty Family Accuses Gordon Ramsay of Bullying Over Wedding Dispute
The estranged family of Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty have reportedly branded television chef Gordon Ramsay a "bully" following his recent comments about their bitter feud. Ramsay, who walked his influencer daughter Holly down the aisle at her wedding to Peaty last month, claimed the family's fallout with the athlete was "self-inflicted."

The lavish ceremony at Bath Abbey was overshadowed by significant family tensions, with Peaty's mother Caroline being disinvited. His sister Bethany was the only blood relative in attendance. Ramsay, 59, told the Daily Mail that he and his wife Tana had "done nothing wrong" and insisted they had treated the Peaty family "like royalty" despite widespread reports to the contrary.

The relative detailed specific grievances to The Sun, alleging: "The Ramsays did not treat Caroline like royalty at all – they treated her as though she was nothing. They ignored her existence and not once did Mrs Ramsay return any of Caroline's texts." They further claimed a promised engagement day lunch with the families never materialised.
The dispute escalated publicly when Ramsay referred to himself as "dad" in a comment on Adam Peaty's wedding video, where the swimmer declared he would "always choose" his new wife Holly. An insider revealed this action "dashed any hope of reconciliation in the near future" for Peaty's biological family, who now believe Adam has "picked his side."
The Father-of-the-Bride Speech Controversy
Reports from the wedding reception indicate Ramsay's speech contained pointed remarks. He reportedly told the groom, Adam, to "look at Tana and that's what you have to look forward to," before making a direct comment about the absent Peaty parents, telling Holly, "Shame you don't have the same."
A family source told the Daily Mail that Caroline was left "outraged," "hurt," and believed the dig was "pre-planned," "cruel," and "very hurtful." In a further perceived slight, Holly revealed in British Vogue that her parents, Gordon and Tana, paid for the couple's luxurious £6,000-a-night honeymoon in Mauritius. During his own wedding speech, Adam Peaty is said to have praised his swim coach Mel Marshall as his "everything," making no mention of his estranged family. His relatives have reportedly told friends they have "given up hope" of reconciliation, describing it as "a really emotional time" as they come to terms with the situation.
