Peaky Blinders actor Paul Anderson has strongly denied allegations of misconduct made by a colleague on set. The 44-year-old, who played Arthur Shelby Jr. in the hit BBC series, is reportedly the subject of an internal investigation launched by producers.
A source told The Sun: "Paul has had an issue to deal with away from the set after a claim was made - which he completely denies." Anderson is said to be confident that any investigation will clear him of the claims.
Anderson appeared in every episode of the show alongside Cillian Murphy, who plays Tommy Shelby. A spokesperson for Peaky Blinders' production company declined to comment, and both Anderson and the BBC have been contacted for comment.
Creator Steven Knight is currently writing a film version of the series, which is expected to begin filming within 18 months. Anderson is anticipated to have a key role in the movie, which will be shot in Digbeth, Birmingham, the historic home of the Peaky Blinders gang.
