GB News presenter Patrick Christys appeared on air with a heart-shaped bruise on his forehead after a playful moment with his young son. The 34-year-old father-of-one shared the mishap on X, formerly Twitter, on Tuesday, July 21, revealing he had spent extra time in makeup to cover the mark.
How It Happened
Christys explained that he amused his 10-month-old son by sticking a green suction toy to his head and ripping it off repeatedly. 'Did it solidly for about five minutes... then I looked in the mirror. Probably worth it for the giggles, but I'm going to have to lay the makeup on thick tonight on GB News,' he wrote.
Fans reacted with humor, with one commenting: 'I'm tuning in just to see the blob on your forehead.' Another said: 'Parenting successful. Just continue to do random humiliating things for him for the next 15 years, and you're sorted lol.' A third recalled a similar experience from 30 years ago.
Previous Controversy
This incident follows Christys challenging a small-boat migrant during a live broadcast, questioning his motivation for relocating to Britain. The migrant, a professional MMA fighter, praised the UK's support but noted some hostility. Viewers expressed frustration online, with one calling the treatment of illegal immigrants 'outrageous.'
