Christine McGuinness has admitted she is finding it difficult to pursue a new romance while still living under the same roof as her ex-husband, Paddy McGuinness. The 38-year-old model and reality star, who has three children with the comedian, recently revealed that she is only open to dating women, but says her living situation makes it hard to find a girlfriend.
A source close to Christine said: 'Christine wants a girlfriend, but it's very difficult while living in the same home as Paddy. She can't bring someone back, because it's not relaxing. But she and Paddy are putting the kids first, especially when they're at this young age.'
The former Miss Liverpool explained: 'I have to hold back, because while I'm emotionally and mentally ready for it, my life isn't. It is s**t. But I've got to be an adult and go, 'Can I be in a relationship when I'm still living with my ex-husband?' So I can't offer that yet. But I would love to be able to call somebody my wife one day, and be in a really solid, loving, lesbian relationship.'
Christine, who has been linked to Olympic boxer Nicola Adams and was recently seen kissing DJ Roxxxan, says the lack of privacy at the family's £6.5 million Cheshire home is a major issue. However, her work as a model and influencer often takes her to London, where she can enjoy some 'me time' - though she feels torn between her independence and staying at home. She has been refreshingly open about her sexuality, noting she first kissed girls as a teenager, and says her connection with women is 'different' to that with men.
