Paddy Doherty wants to fight Mark Wright in celebrity boxing

Paddy Doherty has revealed he'd like to have a fight with Mark Wright in a celebrity boxing match - and he reckons he could knock out the TOWIE star in a round.

Doherty's Challenge

The 67-year-old TV star, who won Celebrity Big Brother in 2011, said that he'd like to get in the ring with Mark because he seems "really cocky and arrogant". The former bareknuckle boxer also offered to fight George Best's son Calum, who appeared on Celebs Go Dating.

Paddy told The Sun: "I would love to fight Calum Best. And I’d love to fight the fella out of Essex, he’s really cocky and arrogant. I would love to fight Mark Wright, he’s a cocky arrogant, above himself, I’d love me and him in the ring."

Confidence in the Ring

"I’m a lot older than him but I guarantee I’d knock him out in the first round." Paddy revealed that he saw Mark at the BAFTAs back in 2011, when both of their shows (TOWIE and Big Fat Gypsy Wedding) were up for the YouTube Audience Award.

"I met him at the awards, at the BAFTAs. He wasn’t rude to me I wouldn’t let him be, not in a million years, but he had that look, like look at me. You get it on, I’ll do it!"

Other News

Paddy also told the outlet that his 2012 autobiography, Hard Knocks & Soft Spots, is being turned into a film and that an actor has been cast to play him.

Earlier this year, Paddy revealed that his wife Roseanne had been rushed to hospital for treatment. He told followers at the time: "But thank god. She couldn't be in a better place than in a hospital. She'll get the attention, she's getting looked after. As long as she's alright."

Paddy thanked staff and described the hospital as "the greatest place in the world" before he was seen saying hello to fans in the car park. "It's nice to be nice," he said, explaining he likes to greet people he's never met before.

The Irish TV personality signed off with: "Just wanted to let you know about my woman. Be lucky, be safe and god bless you all." In his caption, he added: "Prayers for my wife."
