Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne: A Love Story of Chaos and Resilience

Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne's relationship, spanning over four decades, has been anything but ordinary. From their first meeting in the 1970s to their enduring bond through addiction, infidelity, and reality TV fame, their love story is one of music's most complicated.

Sharon was 18 when she met 22-year-old Ozzy, then frontman of Black Sabbath, at her father Don Arden's management office in London. She recalled being nervous of the 'hairy' and 'odd' band members from the north of England, but was drawn to Ozzy's vulnerability and humour.

Their romantic relationship began in 1979 after Ozzy was ousted from Black Sabbath. Sharon became his manager, and despite Ozzy being married with two children at the time, they started a life together. Sharon noted that his wife divorced him due to his drinking, not because of her.

The couple married in Maui in 1982 and raised three children: Aimee, Kelly, and Jack. They rose to fame with the MTV reality show The Osbournes (2002–2005), which offered a raw glimpse into their chaotic family life.

Over the years, they weathered addictions, public meltdowns, and a brief separation in 2016 after reports of Ozzy's affair. Sharon admitted on The Talk that she fell out of love 'along the way' but fell back in love. In a 2024 podcast episode, Ozzy called Sharon his 'soulmate', acknowledging the ups and downs of their relationship.
