Strictly Come Dancing legend Oti Mabuse has confirmed she will return for a second season of her upcoming travel series, Oti and Richard's South African Odyssey, and plans to bring her family along. The professional dancer is teaming up with her I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! co-star Reverend Richard Coles for a four-part road trip across South Africa.
Oti Mabuse's Family Plans
Oti, who moved from her native South Africa to Germany for her dancing career, met her husband Marius there. The couple relocated to the UK, married in 2014, and welcomed their first child. Earlier this year, Oti announced she is expecting their second child. When asked about a potential second series by Radio Times Magazine, Oti said: "I was thinking South America or Asia... I can still do it – I'll just bring the whole family with me!"
Richard Coles Jokes About Hometown
Reverend Richard Coles joked about the possibility of featuring his hometown of Kettering in a future series, saying: "I'm not sure we'd get four programmes out of Kettering. Although if we took in Northampton as well..." The pair also shared a humorous anecdote from filming, with Richard recalling a local woman in Ballito, KwaZulu-Natal, speculating whether he was Oti's "old white husband."
Fan Reactions
Fans have expressed excitement about the duo returning to screens together. One wrote: "Amazing! How exciting!" Another said: "Look forward to seeing your adventures." A third added: "Can't wait for this new series." The latest issue of Radio Times is out now, featuring an interview with the pair.
