The official family statement, signed by Sharon, Aimee, Kelly, Jack and Louis, confirmed that Ozzy died peacefully at home on Tuesday morning. “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning,” it read. “He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time.” No cause of death was given.
Ozzy had faced a series of health issues in recent years, including Parkinson’s disease and complications from a spinal injury. He performed his final show earlier this month at Villa Park Stadium in Birmingham alongside his Black Sabbath bandmates. His last Instagram post referenced that performance.
Jessica and Louis are the children from Ozzy’s first marriage to Thelma Riley. Jessica previously spoke about their complex relationship in the 2011 documentary God Bless Ozzy Osbourne, describing an “erratic childhood” due to his long absences.
