Portia Jett, the ex-wife of Strictly Come Dancing winner Ore Oduba, has declared she will never marry again, stating the idea has been 'ruined' for her following the breakdown of their marriage. The couple split in 2024 after nine years of marriage, with Ore later revealing his struggle with a long-term porn addiction.
Speaking about her changed views on marriage, Portia said: 'I have a different view of marriage and the advice I would give my children.' She described the divorce process as 'one of the hardest and most stressful things I have ever been through' and added she would never put herself through that again.
Portia, who shares two children, Roman, seven, and Genie, four, with Ore, is now in a relationship with British-German businessman Joshua Saxon Birch, 37. She is seeking long-term commitment in the form of a 'promise ring' rather than marriage.
Ore Oduba, 40, opened up about his 'life destroying' porn addiction on the We Need To Talk podcast last year, revealing it started when he was nine years old after being shown adult images. He admitted spending 'thousands and thousands' on adult content and said it took him 30 years, two deaths, and a divorce to finally speak out.
In a recent interview on the Hurt to Healing podcast, Ore revealed he contemplated suicide during the darkest days of his addiction. 'I was thinking I can't carry on like this. So, I knew I had to save myself, I had to save my life,' he said. He now says he is a better father since the split, focusing on co-parenting and raising awareness about the dangers of children accessing sexual imagery online.
