Alex Jones and JB Gill returned to host The One Show on Friday evening, June 26, and immediately congratulated guest Annabel Croft on becoming a grandmother again. The former Strictly star revealed her new granddaughter is named Cosima and is about three weeks old.
Annabel Croft Shares Joyful News
During the live broadcast, Alex Jones noted, "Now, Annabel, the thing is, every time you come here, you seem to have a new grandchild. Congratulations!" Annabel replied, "I do! She's called Cosima and she's about three weeks old and she's absolutely gorgeous. She's so delicate and beautiful, and I'm loving being Gran-Annabel!"
Alex then joked, "Gran-Annabel! It's a good job you didn't bring her because, with me and Joanna here, you would never of seen her again!" Joanna Page added, "I'd have swept her off, given her cwtches!" JB Gill concluded, "Aw, I love that title Gran-Annabel as well."
Second Grandchild in Less Than a Year
Cosima is Annabel's second grandchild. Her daughter Amber Rose gave birth to a son named Arlo William Melvyn Llewellyn in September 2025. Annabel confirmed Cosima's arrival to the Daily Mail, saying, "Cosima is named after both her amazing grannies. Honour's mother goes by Annie, while her real name is Elizabeth."
The One Show Summer Break
Alex also announced that The One Show will be off air for four weeks for its summer break. She stated, "It is our last show before we take a four-week break, so tonight, we are gonna be celebrating some of our highlights of the year so far." The show returns on Monday, July 27 at 7pm on BBC One.
