Olly Murs Revealed As Mole Dommett On Masked Singer

X Factor star Olly Murs has been unmasked as Mole Dommett on ITV's The Masked Singer, surprising viewers who had speculated on the identity of the show's sleuth. The 41-year-old singer, who rose to fame in 2009, had been appearing on other ITV programmes such as This Morning and Lorraine throughout the week before finally revealing himself on Saturday's episode.

Speaking to host Joel Dommett after the unmasking, Murs confirmed that a newspaper clue was a reference to his song Wrapped Up. He then joined judges Davina McCall, Mo Gilligan, Maya Jama and Jonathan Ross as a guest panellist for the week.

Fans were divided by the revelation. One wrote on X: "Mole Dommett being OLLY MURS was not on my bingo card." Another said: "olly Murs is a surprise tbf," but a third raged: "NAH sorry that is absolutely cheating! How are we supposed to guess who the mole was if there was ZERO clues?"

The reveal came after Mole Dommett held up a muddy boots sign on Lorraine and said: "Forget Vera, Morse or Marple, Joel knows this Mole is definitely up for a challenge." On This Morning, the character dropped a radio and referenced "banking on a deal," leading some fans to believe it was former Coronation Street star Bradley Walsh. Other guesses included Stephen Mulhern and Scarlett Moffatt.
