Olivia Attwood has revealed she feels 'defeated' by a mystery illness that forced her to pull out of Friday's episode of Loose Women at the last minute. The 34-year-old TV personality, a regular panellist on the ITV daytime show for over two years, was absent as the week's final programme aired.
Host Kaye Adams explained to viewers: 'Liv was meant to be with us, and she came into the morning meeting, and she was just dying. She's had bug after bug after bug.' Attwood later took to social media to apologise, sharing that doctors had ordered her to rest for 24 hours.
In an Instagram post, the former Love Island star said she had a chest infection, strep throat, and 'some fly type thing' that she is struggling to shake off. On TikTok, she added: 'I'm the firstborn daughter, first granddaughter, Taurus. I don't listen to anyone. Apparently that includes my body. I just don't like being defeated. This f-----g thing has defeated me.'
Attwood, who described herself as 'half English, half German', admitted her ADHD makes it hard to stay sedentary, but said doctors have insisted on rest. She asked fans for movie recommendations, specifically requesting something 'scary or funny' rather than sad, as she already felt heartbroken about missing Loose Women.
Fans responded with support and suggestions, including 'All Fairs with Kim Kardashian', 'Yellowstone', 'Secret Lives of Mormon Wives', 'The Devil Wears Prada', and 'I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!' Attwood also expressed interest in watching Netflix's 'Frankenstein', but sought reassurance it wouldn't be too upsetting.
