Television personality Olivia Attwood has confessed to feeling 'defeated' by a persistent mystery illness that forced her to make a last-minute withdrawal from Friday's episode of Loose Women.
A Sudden Absence from the Panel
As the final show of the week began on ITV, host Kaye Adams was forced to explain Olivia's unexpected absence to viewers. The 34-year-old Love Island star, who has been a regular panellist for over two years, had attended the morning meeting but was clearly unwell.
"Liv was meant to be with us, and she came into the morning meeting, and she was just dying," Adams told the audience. "She's had bug after bug after bug... It's just going around, isn't it?"
Doctor's Orders: 24 Hours of Rest
Olivia herself took to social media to apologise to her fans, sharing that her body had 'finally said no'. In a candid health update, she disclosed a troubling series of ailments, including a chest infection and strep throat, which have now been compounded by a lingering "flu-type thing" she cannot shake.
In a subsequent video posted on TikTok, the TV star delivered a more detailed diagnosis from her doctors. She has been ordered to rest completely for 24 hours, a directive she is finding difficult to obey due to her driven personality and ADHD.
"I'm the firstborn daughter, first granddaughter, Taurus. I don't listen to anyone. Apparently that includes my body," Olivia explained. "This f-----g thing has defeated me. And now I'm on like 24 hours of doctor ordered lying about... My half English, half German DNA is not coping well with being sedentary."
An Appeal for Entertainment and Support
Faced with a mandatory day of inactivity and a "crazy" schedule looming next week, Olivia turned to her followers for help. She pleaded for tips on how to remain sedentary and asked for movie recommendations, specifically mentioning an interest in Netflix's Frankenstein.
However, concerned about her emotional state after having to "let down" her Loose Women colleagues, she requested something scary or funny rather than sad. Her appeal sparked an outpouring of support in the comments, with fans offering both well-wishes and a long list of viewing suggestions, from Devil Wears Prada to Yellowstone.
The incident highlights the physical toll that a relentless schedule and recurring illness can take, even on someone with Olivia Attwood's renowned energy.
