Strictly Come Dancing professional Ola Jordan has accused her ex-husband and fellow dancer James Jordan of having an affair with another dancer, Polina Mayer.
Ola, who joined Strictly in 2006 and left in 2015, married James in 2003, and the pair announced their shock split in August. A source told The Sun that Ola, 44, received a phone call informing her of the alleged infidelity with Russian professional dancer Polina Mayer.
Phone Call Allegations
According to the source, Polina's ex Jamie Cutler allegedly told Ola about the affair, leaving the Strictly star feeling like her 'world imploded' after 22 years of marriage, and that she had been left 'completely devastated.'
The source said: 'Jamie called Ola out of the blue last week. He said Polina and James were sleeping together and that he believed Polina cheated on him with James.'
They continued: 'Ola was stunned, she said she felt like her whole world was imploding as he spoke. Jamie told her that she deserved to know what had been going on, he said she needed to know everything.'
Confrontation and Response
The source added Ola then confronted James, 48, about Jamie's claims and told him she 'wanted the truth', to which James allegedly told her he was filing for divorce. They said: 'She said he played it down and tried to palm her off, Ola's head is spinning and she's completely devastated.'
However, a spokesperson told The Sun on Sunday that James' relationship with Polina began following their respective splits from Ola and Jamie. 'I can confirm that James and Polina have grown closer in recent weeks since separating from their respective partners,' they said.
Background and Statements
Polina, 34, often appears as James' partner for their The Legends in Vegas: After Hours tour, which also features Strictly icons Brendan Cole and Pasha Kovalev as well as Vincent Simone and Ian Waite.
Ola and James, who started dating in 1999, announced their split in a joint statement, saying their main priority was co-parenting their daughter Ella, six. It read: 'After 26 years together, this is something we never imagined we would be sharing. Following recent reports in the press about our relationship and after receiving messages asking if everything is okay, we feel it's important to speak directly rather than let speculation or hearsay tell our story.'
'We have always tried to be open and honest with the people who have supported us over the years and we feel it's only right that this update comes from us. At the moment we're taking some time apart as we work through very difficult personal challenges. (James) moved out of the family home some time ago. This has been an incredibly painful and emotional journey for us both and it certainly wasn't an easy decision.'
It concluded: 'We don't know exactly what the future holds. For now, we're taking things one day at a time, doing what we both believe is best for ourselves, our family and most importantly….. Ella. We're incredibly grateful for the love, kindness and concern so many of you have shown us over the years.'
Ola previously took to social media to reflect on her 'incredibly tough' split from James, explaining how Ella had been her source of strength. 'There have been moments this summer when my heart has felt heavier than I ever imagined it could,' she wrote. 'Life has changed in ways I never expected, and some days have been incredibly tough.'
'But through all of the uncertainty, one thing has remained constant, my beautiful girl Ella. Spending these summer holidays with my baby girl, making memories, having cuddles, laughing until our tummies hurt and simply enjoying every precious moment together has been my greatest comfort. She may not realise it now, but she has been my little ray of sunshine through some of my darkest days.'
