Barack and Michelle Obama have been spotted holidaying on Steven Spielberg's $250 million superyacht in Portofino, Italy, following recent divorce rumours. The former first lady, 61, arrived a day ahead of her husband, 64, on the 357-foot vessel, Seven Seas.
Michelle was pictured boarding the yacht on her own, while Barack arrived later with security. He did not join his wife and friends until the following morning, when the couple were seen enjoying breakfast alongside the movie director and his wife on deck before heading ashore for lunch.
The trip comes after speculation about the Obamas' marriage earlier this year, fuelled by Michelle missing several high-profile events, including Donald Trump's inauguration and Jimmy Carter's funeral. In a recent speech, Barack joked about trying to 'dig himself out of a hole' with Michelle.
However, during a joint interview on Michelle's podcast in July, the couple dismissed the rumours. Michelle stated, 'There hasn't been one moment in our marriage where I thought about quitting my man,' while Barack added, 'She took me back! It was touch and go for a while.'
The Obamas have been married for almost 33 years and have two daughters, Malia, 27, and Sasha, 24.
