Oasis Star Bonehead Announces Cancer 'Is Gone' After Scans

Oasis co-founder Bonehead, real name Paul Arthurs, has announced that his cancer 'is gone' following a full scan ten days ago. The 57-year-old musician shared the update on Thursday evening, September 29, thanking fans for their support and praising staff at The Christie Hospital in Manchester.

Bonehead, known as the rhythm guitarist and keyboardist for the iconic English rock band, had been diagnosed with tonsil cancer in April. The diagnosis forced him to pull out of planned shows with Liam Gallagher at Manchester's Etihad Stadium and Knebworth Park earlier this year.

In his statement, Bonehead wrote: 'Update on my cancer; I had a full scan 10 days ago and it’s all clear, it’s gone. Thank you so much all of you for the messages I’ve had throughout, you’ve helped more than you know. Thank you especially to the team at The Christie, into recovery now and see you all soon x.'
