Kirstie Alley Enters Celebrity Big Brother as Finalist

Hollywood actress Kirstie Alley has become a finalist on Celebrity Big Brother, joining Dan Osborne, Rodrigo Alves, and Ryan Thomas in the famous house. Before entering, she promised: 'I will put on the best show you've seen in your life.' She also admitted to Emma Willis that she was worried about remembering her housemates' names, saying: 'Unfortunately I'm really bad with names so I think I'm going to have to ask everyone to wear name tags all through the show.'

Alley, 67, has been acting since the 1980s and is best known for her role as Rebecca Howe in the sitcom Cheers, for which she won an Emmy and a Golden Globe. She starred alongside Kelsey Grammer, Ted Danson, and Danny DeVito in the show set in a Boston bar that became a global hit. Her big break came earlier in 1982, when she played Lieutenant JG Saavik in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. She also appeared with John Travolta in the Look Who's Talking films and later led Veronica's Closet from 1997 to 2000.

Alley has described Travolta as 'the greatest love of my life' and claimed she and Patrick Swayze were 'in love' with each other, though they did not have an affair. She is a committed member of the Church of Scientology, which believes that ancient alien remnants brought by Xenu reside inside humans. She is outspoken about her beliefs on Twitter, and last year she theorised that drugs, not guns, were to blame for the 2017 Las Vegas shooting.
