Noel Gallagher appeared emotional during Oasis's second consecutive sold-out show at Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh on Saturday (August 9th). The 58-year-old guitarist was seen with tears in his eyes while performing the 1995 B-side 'Talk Tonight', a song that holds personal significance for him.
A clip posted on TikTok by fan Andrew Douglas captured the moment, with the caption: 'The Noel Gallagher tearing up while playing at Murrayfield Stadium.' Viewers noted that Gallagher 'looked humbled the whole night' and praised the crowd's energy.
'Talk Tonight' was written after a turbulent period in 1994 when Noel briefly left Oasis following a disastrous gig in Los Angeles. He travelled to San Francisco, where a woman he met persuaded him not to quit the band. In the 2016 documentary 'Supersonic', Gallagher admitted he couldn't recall her name, but Melissa Lim later claimed she was the one who talked him 'off the ledge'.
Oasis have one remaining UK gig on Tuesday (August 12th) before heading to Dublin to complete the UK and Ireland leg of their Live '25 reunion tour. The tour marks the first time Noel and his brother Liam have performed together in 16 years since their split in 2009.
