BBC Breakfast presenter Nina Warhurst has swapped the famous red sofa for a stunning red swimsuit during her break from the show. The 45-year-old mum-of-three took to Instagram on Monday (July 20) to share a glimpse of her holiday, showing her climbing down to a mini waterfall and jumping into a lake below, surrounded by trees and rocky cliffs.

Weeks earlier, Warhurst posted a clip of her children—sons Digby and Michael, and daughter Nancy—on the runway at Gibraltar Airport. Famous for its junction where traffic and pedestrians stop for planes, the BBC star struck a walking pose on the runway, prompting fans to comment: "That’s why you’re not on the news" and "That's amazing, enjoy your trip." Another added: "So, that's where you are. No wonder lunchtime news is bad!"
Health Update After Difficult Week
Before her break, Warhurst addressed concerns about her appearance after a swollen left eye during a broadcast with Sally Nugent. She assured viewers she felt no "pain or discomfort" but was distressed covering the death of toddler Preston Davey. On Instagram, she wrote: "It's been a difficult week at work. The stories affecting children have weighed heavily on all of us in the office." She added: "I'm having a gentle day with my little one, and we will go and say a prayer later for the ones who didn't get the start in life that every single child deserves."
Warhurst praised BBC teams for "listening to the unlistenable in court, allowing families' broken hearts to be seen, and their voices to be heard." She concluded: "Our journalists work hard to get it right, and inevitably, sometimes it comes home. Children who suffer should never be forgotten."
