BBC Breakfast presenter Nina Warhurst has received an outpouring of support from her colleagues after sharing a deeply personal Instagram post about the traumatic birth of her daughter. In the post, Warhurst admitted that during labor three years ago, she was in such agony that she hoped someone would shoot her in the head. The post, celebrating her daughter Nance's third birthday, was met with warm messages from fellow BBC personalities.
Emotional Birthday Tribute
Warhurst wrote: "This time 3 years ago I was in so much pain I hoped someone might come and offer to shoot me in the head. That didn't happen and I'm glad, because hanging out with you has been a pleasure." She described her daughter as "noisy and unrelenting" and praised her for feeling "deeply and loving hard." The mother of three also joked about her daughter's musical tastes, including the hit single "and Tuesday and Friday and Tuesday" and the classic "Girls are good. Boys are sausages."
Support from BBC Co-Stars
Among those offering support was BBC Breakfast host Sally Nugent, who liked the post. BBC radio presenter Rachel Burden commented: "She's a princess!" Documentarian Stacey Dooley added a red love heart emoji. Warhurst's sister Amy wrote: "Happy birthday Nance! What did we ever do without you? We couldn't love you more." Warhurst shares three children with her husband Ed Fraser: sons Digby and Michael, and daughter Nance.
Recent Health Issue
The emotional post comes shortly after Warhurst experienced a visible eye issue during a live broadcast. She was unable to wear makeup on one side of her face due to the problem. Warhurst reassured fans on social media: "Thanks for the concerned msgs about my asymmetrical mush. I'm in no pain or discomfort, and my lovely pharmacist is helping - left eye just needs a few days off makeup."
