Nicole Scherzinger called 'warrior' after Pussycat Dolls tour injury
Nicole Scherzinger 'warrior' after tour injury

Nicole Scherzinger has been labelled a "warrior princess" by fans after continuing to tour with the Pussycat Dolls despite suffering a nasty injury. The 48-year-old and her bandmates Ashley Roberts and Kimberley Wyatt are currently on the UK leg of their PCD Forever Tour, with their next performance scheduled at Newcastle's Utilita Arena on October 9.

Boiling water accident before Germany show

Scherzinger's mishap took place last week when she accidentally poured boiling water over her lower leg just before taking to the stage in Germany. A week on, Nicole has shared an update on her bloodied and bruised limb.

In snaps posted to Instagram, Nicole highlighted the contrast between "what they see" and "what they don't see". Her opening shot featured her posing in full makeup and a sports bra, displaying her sculpted midriff. Nicole then pulled a sultry expression for the lens, showcasing her rich brunette locks and glossy pink lips.

Fans respond with support

Subsequent images showed a different tale, however, revealing Nicole's lower leg bearing a horrific wound and multiple scars and grazes that had severely damaged her skin. Responding with sympathy, one admirer wrote: "And you carried on.... if this was footballer they be on the bench for weeks." Another fan added: "So gorgeous and I wish you a speedy recovery."

A third proclaimed: "You're a warrior girl! Going on stage and performing like this with this injury. You have all my respect." Meanwhile, a fourth Instagram follower reflected: "How you continued to put on a show even after that! Incredible." And a fifth said: "Look after that babe, no sun for a bit (or at least a little bit at a time for the vitamin D). Warrior Princess is right."

Tour continues across UK and beyond

Addressing those wondering how Nicole had sustained such severe injuries, another fan was quick to explain: "For everyone asking what happened, she spilled boiling water on herself an hour before a show and those are the burns from it." However, the fan admitted: "I'm sure it stung like a b**** during the show. Would have been nice if she said what happened in the caption though... it's definitely clickbait."

The girls recently took to the stage in Glasgow, with the tour set to continue at Newcastle on October 9, Manchester on October 10, London on October 13, and Sao Paulo, Brazil on October 29.
