Nicole Kidman has taken legal action amid reports that her marriage to Keith Urban has ended. Sources claim the actress was blindsided by the split after nearly two decades together, with Urban allegedly already involved with another woman.
The couple, who married in 2006, are said to have been living separate lives for some time. Despite this, Kidman reportedly believed they could save their marriage and was left feeling 'hurt and betrayed' when the news broke.
Divorce lawyer Sophie Jacobi-Parisi commented on Kidman's filing, stating: 'She's taking affirmative action to protect herself. It's going to be very hard because he's ready and has apparently moved on.'
In a move that divided fans, Urban recently changed a lyric in his song to reference his female guitarist, Maggie, instead of the original line dedicated to Kidman. One fan called the change 'disgusting', while others urged restraint in judging the couple's private affairs.
