Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban Separate After Nearly Two Decades of Marriage

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have separated after almost 19 years of marriage, according to reports. The Oscar-winning actress and country music star, who share two daughters, are said to have been living apart since the start of the summer.

Speculation about their relationship had grown in June when only Ms Kidman publicly marked their wedding anniversary on social media. She posted a photo with her husband and wrote “Happy Anniversary Baby”, to which Mr Urban replied with a single love heart emoji. Unlike previous years, the singer did not share his own tribute.

A source told People that the split has been difficult for Ms Kidman, who had been fighting to save the marriage. “She didn’t want this,” the insider said. The source added that Ms Kidman’s sister, Antonia, has been her “rock” and that the wider Kidman family has rallied around the actress.

The couple met in January 2005 at a Hollywood event and married in June 2006 in Sydney. They have daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14. Ms Kidman also has two adopted children from her previous marriage to Tom Cruise.

Mr Urban, 57, has been on his High and Alive World tour since May, with shows scheduled through mid-October. Ms Kidman, 58, recently wrapped filming a sequel to Practical Magic with Sandra Bullock.
