Nicola Peltz appeared to take a swipe at the drama surrounding husband Brooklyn Beckham and his family, after their Father's Day posts reportedly left him “fuming.” Despite the rift deepening between the budding chef and his parents, Victoria and David Beckham, they posted throwback family photos to mark the poignant day over the weekend — something that he publicly ignored.
Nicola's Cryptic Instagram Story
His wife has now made her feelings known with a subtle post on her Instagram story, following a gushing tribute to her own dad, Nelson Peltz. In the new upload, the 31-year-old shared a quote with fans. It read: “I am in love with this sentence: ‘Forgive yourself for not knowing earlier what only time could teach.’”
The post comes after Brooklyn, 27, has been feuding with his famous family in recent months, with the drama spilling into the spotlight when he publicly called out his “controlling” parents at the beginning of the year.
DoorDash Ad Sparks Further Tension
In a seemingly savage move last week, Brooklyn fronted a DoorDash advert for the World Cup, taking various digs at them. The brief clip, which quickly went viral, showed Brooklyn announcing that he would be watching the World Cup from home. Throwing his tickets onto a coffee table, surrounded by an expensive watch, a camera and burnt pizza, he quipped: “It's a long story.”
The move reportedly “devastated” David and Victoria, but they still made sure to include their eldest son in a selection of photos to commemorate Father's Day on Sunday. Beside snaps of Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper, David gushed: “Being a dad is my most important job... I love you all & thank you mummy @victoriabeckham for giving me our beautiful family. Happy Father's Day to all the Dads around the world.”
Insider Claims Brooklyn 'Fuming'
Unsurprisingly, the foodie failed to interact with the post, but an insider claimed that he was furious by the move. “He's fuming about it. He's asked them to leave him alone and they just keep posting him,” they told the Sun. “It just brings the whole thing up all over again. He wishes they'd leave it and leave him alone.”
