Nicola Peltz has deleted an Instagram photo after fans expressed concern over her weight loss. The 31-year-old actress is preparing for her role as ballerina Margo in the upcoming film Prima.
The photo, part of a 'photo dump' captioned 'Phone piccies,' showed Peltz in gym wear, including black hotpants and a sports bra. While some fans complimented her appearance, others voiced worries about her petite frame.
One comment read: 'Anyone else worried about the body checking? I know she lost weight for a ballet role, but something isn’t sitting right.' Another said: 'Promoting being extremely skinny can really negatively affect younger girls. There’s a difference between feeling confident and setting unrealistic standards.'
Others defended Peltz, with one writing: 'There’s definitely a BIG difference in being concerned and being judgemental. This girl doesn’t owe any of us an explanation. HER BODY. HER CHOICE.' The back-and-forth appears to have prompted the deletion.
Peltz has previously spoken about her diet, describing it as resembling 'a ten-year-old's' due to her love of sweets. She has said her husband, Brooklyn, does all the cooking, often making her favourite Capellini pasta. She also admitted to a 'bad sweet tooth' and frequently choosing waffles or pancakes for lunch.
