Olympian Nicola Adams has opened up about the heartbreaking reason behind her split from girlfriend Ella Baig, citing the impact of Baig's work on OnlyFans. The couple, who share a two-year-old son, ended their seven-year relationship last month, despite attempts to salvage it through couples therapy.
In an interview with The Sun, Adams, 42, said: 'I have always been incredibly supportive of Ella's career and the choices she has made, including her work on OnlyFans. However, as much as I respect what she does, I can't deny that it has had an impact on our relationship.'
A source close to the couple revealed that they tried to make it work for the sake of their son, Taylor Nate, but ultimately decided they were better off separating. 'They still have a lot of love for each other, and great memories, but are focused on being brilliant co-parents,' the source added.
Adams and Baig, 27, began IVF treatment in 2020, two years after meeting on a night out. Baig carried their child, who was born via a sperm donor. Following Taylor's birth, Adams spoke about the lack of parenting resources for same-sex families, telling Vogue: 'The information is out there but we really had to dig for it.'
The couple previously denied rumours of a secret wedding in Mexico in November 2022, after Adams posted a photo of the family at a wedding, captioned 'Perfect Together.'
