A Newcastle United goalkeeper kit has seemingly been leaked online after being sent in error to a customer by sports fashion retailer JD Sports.
Customer Receives Unreleased Kit
Jake Weir took to social media on Tuesday to explain he had ordered the Scotland national team's away goalkeeper kit from the store but when it arrived it was an unreleased Newcastle United goalkeeper kit.
He posted on X: "Ordered the Scotland goalie away kit last week off JD sports, I’ve seemed to have received an unreleased Newcastle Utd kit? Any takers?? Looks like a goalie kit lads, another lazy design from a big kit manufacturer it seems."
The grey kit with a black collar is not one of the two 2026/27 goalkeeper kits currently for sale, suggesting this is a third goalkeeper kit being released ahead of the new season.
Potential Release with Away Kit
The club website is currently listing a yellow goalkeeper shirt and an orange goalkeeper shirt up for sale, with the grey design possibly set to be released in conjunction with the new away kit.
The goalkeeper kit Weir received contained the new badge that has been emblazoned on the front of the club's official store at St James' Park to advertise the launch of the 2026/27 away kit.
That kit had been set to be released on Tuesday morning but the kit launch was postponed as the club paid their respects towards club legend Kevin Keegan who passed away on Monday. As such, the away kit is set to be released on Friday instead and could be worn for the first time in Saturday's pre-season trip to face Gateshead.
