Strictly Come Dancing professional Neil Jones has sparked romance rumours with Cuban dancer Gretel Pupo following his recent split from girlfriend Luisa Eusse. The 38-year-old has been liking several of Pupo's Instagram posts and left a flirty comment on one of her dance videos, writing: 'Would love to collaborate with u next time I’m in Cuba.' Pupo responded warmly: 'Of course.'
A spokesperson for Jones confirmed to The Sun that he has been in touch with Pupo and hopes to meet her when travel restrictions ease. 'Neil had a trip planned to Cuba for this year, which is postponed now, and has been in touch with Gretel, amongst other dancers, about collaborating when he’s out there,' the insider said.
Jones's relationship with Eusse ended in January after a brief romance that began last summer. Friends of the dancer described the relationship as a 'mistake' and branded Eusse a 'nightmare.' One friend told The Sun: 'Neil was mortified by her antics recently and said being linked to her was the worst mistake he’s made.'
Jones divorced fellow Strictly star Katya Jones in 2019. A spokesperson for Neil said: 'Neil is happy with his decision and is busy focusing on himself and some exciting work projects. He wishes Luisa all the best.'
