Former Strictly Come Dancing professional Nadiya Bychkova has returned to the BBC studios just months after she was cut from the show. The mum-of-one was among the five professional dancers who were let go from the ballroom competition earlier this summer.
Also leaving the show with her were veteran dancer Karen Hauer, Gorka Marquez, Luba Mushtuk and Michelle Tsiakkas. But it appears the Ukrainian dancer has overcome her heartache as she returned to the BBC studios as one of three guests on Friday's (October 2) instalment of It Takes Two.
Return to It Takes Two
Ellie Taylor opened the show with her usual bout of bubbly enthusiasm before she welcomed the blonde bombshell and former contestants Jay McGuinness and Kimberley Walsh onto the show. And she wasted no time in revealing that the glittering trio would be returning guests to the show in a matter of days.
She began: "Welcome to the show, guys, you've perfectly dressed on theme. But the top news, I would say, is that you're going to be back on Monday (October ) to discuss everything!"
Advice for Movie Week
Nadiya was beaming with excitement as she passed on her best advice for stars training in the ballroom the night before the big show. She explained: "I think on Fridays it's very important to get there and make sure you get comfortable."
"Get in there, make sure the steps are in, and slowly get into the spirit of Movie Week rather than waiting until tomorrow. Leave Saturday to simply enjoy the moment and all the excitement of Movie Week."
Fan Reactions
It didn't take long for fans to flock to X - formerly known as Twitter - to share their joy at seeing the star back on their screens again. One user penned: "Lovely to see the talented, dignified Nadiya on @bbcstrictly #ittakestwo. Whoever decided to 'refresh' her out of the pro line-up wants kicking with very spangly pointed shoes."
Another added: "Nadiya Bychkova I've missed you diva." A third viewer said: "So good to have Nadiya back." Someone else commented: "So nice to see Nadiya Byckova back on #ItTakesTwo and still part of the #Strictly family She was always full of kindness as a pro and hope to see more of her in the future, either as a permanent fixture on It Takes Two or maybe even a future contestant on #CelebrityTraitors."
Nadiya first joined the show back in 2017 and enjoyed a wonderful nine years on the beloved ballroom. But her journey came to an impromptu end when BBC bosses cut half of the professional dancers from the show amid major cost-cutting efforts.
