Myleene Klass Sizzles in Bikini on Hottest May Day

Monday's bank holiday saw the UK experience its hottest-ever day in May, with temperatures soaring to 34.8 degrees Celsius. However, Myleene Klass aimed to raise the sweltering temperatures even higher as she showcased her sensational figure in a series of scorching bikini-clad photographs.

Bikini-Clad Snaps on Instagram

The television personality, aged 48, took to her Instagram account to share a collection of images displaying her taut stomach and enviably long legs in a vibrant striped two-piece swimsuit while cooling off in her garden. Shielding her face behind a pair of futuristic Prada sunglasses, she accessorised the orange swimwear from Freemans with gold hoop earrings and a T-bar necklace.

Myleene serves as a brand ambassador for the online and catalogue retailer and frequently treats her followers to pictures modelling their collaborations, most recently in South Africa. Captioning the sizzling post, she wrote: "Bank hols. klassy cabs did overtime."

Flooded with Praise from Fans and Famous Friends

She was immediately inundated with praise from her fans and celebrity friends in the comments section. Former soap star Helen Flanagan gushed: "My god." Actress Catherine Tyldesley added: "Momma you look incredible," while her Smooth Radio colleague Angie Greaves penned: "Girl" followed by a string of flame emojis.

Myleene's Bikini Legacy

Myleene has become synonymous with bikinis ever since her appearance on I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! in 2006, when she captured the nation's attention by stripping down to a tiny white bikini to take a shower in the jungle. She has joked that the famous bikini "has put my kids through school" and has recreated the look many times in the two decades since.

She even wore a similar two-piece while playing the I'm a Celebrity theme tune on the piano to promote the series, and in 2023, the TV personality recreated the iconic scene when she returned to the jungle for the all-star series. The radio presenter revealed that the original white bikini she wore sold for a whopping £7,500, after she bought it for just £40. Myleene added that it had also been a very last-minute purchase, having bought it en route to the jungle after producers told her that her other swimwear would strobe on camera.

Opening Up About 90s Pop Star Pressures

Her latest jaw-dropping bikini post comes after the former Hear'Say singer opened up about the fat-shaming and drug use that went on among pop stars in the 1990s. During a panel discussion on Loose Women in 2024 about the issues that come with fame at a young age, she reflected on her own time in a band.

When asked if she struggled in her younger years, Myleene said: "I was in a band in my early twenties and the experience of it... it was absolutely incredible when it was incredible. But when it was low it's so difficult to comprehend because we're almost unforgiving of anyone who's struggling in these circumstances. Because you think, 'Well you've got fame, you've got money, you can go to any party you like, I saw you on a private jet yesterday. Why's your life so hard when I'm trying to make ends meet?' So we're quite unforgiving of it."

She continued: "They're like Icarus, they fly too close to the sun. There's a literal line of so much pop roadkill because of the experiences they go through. So if we see somebody taking drugs there are few scenarios where you would allow that or occupations where you would get away with it but it's almost encouraged because it plays into that rock and roll lifestyle."

When asked about what pressures she felt as a young person, Myleene said: "I mean the scrutiny for a start. My daughter is 17 and if I look at one of my band members Suzie she was 18, so that's one year away. I think if someone put my daughter through that level of scrutiny or pressure..."

Although she admitted that things have got a lot better since then, Myleene went on to add: "Some of the experiences that we went through we were in no way equipped for it. We were just five kids in a room at the end of the day - not unlike these five kids in a room and that's all you have."

She shared the shocking revelation that her band had tour managers "clear out our mini bars and food because they thought we were trying to control how much we were eating because they thought we were just too fat. Before we walked into a studio our tour manager would get a big bag and clear out our food, treating us like we were children because we couldn't be trusted and we had an image of this perfection, this role to fulfil."

Recalling another experience, Myleene quipped: "Somebody drew a circle around my cellulite while I was on holiday... On the front of every magazine there was a huge circle and my cellulite, we wouldn't allow that today."

Hear'Say's Rise and Fall

Hear'Say formed on ITV show Popstars in 2001 and found success with their number one hit "Pure and Simple." Their first album Popstars was a huge hit, but their success quickly dwindled by the time they released their second album Everybody. They split up in October 2002, less than two years after being put together, and cited "abuse from the public" at the time as the primary reason behind the breakup.
