Myleene Klass was moved to tears on Friday's episode of Loose Women after her family surprised her with an emotional video message congratulating her on receiving an MBE. The former Hear'Say singer appeared on the panel for the first time since being honoured at Windsor Castle for her advocacy work on miscarriage care.
During the show, co-host Kaye Adams played a clip featuring Myleene's husband Simon and their children Ava and Apollo. In the video, daughter Ava said: 'Thank you for being our biggest inspiration, we couldn't be prouder of you.' Simon added: 'We've watched you work so hard and we're privileged to be part of your journey. You deserve everything you get.'
Myleene, 47, struggled to hold back tears as she watched the tribute. 'How did you get my teenage daughter to do that?!' she exclaimed. She revealed she had been up since 5am to take her 17-year-old daughter to the airport for a girls' holiday.
Speaking about her MBE, Myleene told the panel: 'The King himself has now acknowledged that miscarriage care and healthcare needs to move forward. We're actually in a position where we can change the law, and women can benefit from it.' She described the honour as recognition for the collective efforts to improve a neglected area of women's health.
Myleene, who has endured four miscarriages, said: 'When I was going through my own miscarriages, you feel so invisible – you just feel you need somebody to guide you out of it. There's so much negativity about miscarriage healthcare – women feel so lost, so dragged down by it all.'
