Beloved Irish musician Oisín Daly has died suddenly at the age of 38. He passed away in his sleep at his home in Savannah, Georgia, on Friday, June 12, 2026. His wife, Vanessa, discovered his body and shared an emotional tribute on social media.
Wife's Heartbreaking Discovery
Vanessa Daly wrote that she found her husband cold in bed after returning from a Canadian holiday with their family. “This morning, I jumped in the bed with the cat to kiss him and wake him make him breakfast, and found him cold. I was letting him sleep in to rest from his trip,” she said. She described the scene as “the worst possible horror movie scene you can possibly imagine,” adding that her screams brought neighbours and emergency services to the house.
Paramedic Friend Among Responders
In a further tragic twist, Vanessa revealed that one of the paramedics was a friend of Oisín. “He came out shaking and with tears and hugged me,” she wrote. She also expressed her devastation at the loss, saying, “Nobody in my life ever loved me like he did. I love you. Thank you for your love.”
