Emmerdale actress Sammy Winward, 40, is reportedly heartbroken over a rift with her daughter Mia Winward-Dunn, 20. The pair were once close, but their relationship soured after Mia joined the adult content platform OnlyFans four months before Sammy cut ties in summer 2024.
Mia, who has since quit OnlyFans after discovering she is pregnant, claimed she was earning up to £100,000 a month from the site and felt “empowered” by her independence. However, her parents were appalled, with former Blackburn Rovers player David Dunn, 44, calling his daughter a “w***e” during a heated exchange.
Mia alleged that Sammy said “some pretty mean things” and accused her mother of being jealous. “I think she’s got some animosity towards me… maybe just jealous about me doing so well and so quickly,” Mia told The Sun. She insisted her success required hard work beyond being a “nepo baby.”
Despite Mia’s pregnancy, she has not informed Sammy or David. “They don’t really know how to contact me,” she said, adding that she “couldn’t imagine not speaking to my own child.” Mia now lives in the Lake District with her partner and expects reconciliation to be a long process: “There’s a lot to forgive and that process hasn’t even started yet.”
Sammy, who played Katie Sugden on Emmerdale, has not publicly commented, but sources say she is devastated by the family feud.
